Going to Phuket. Feel very anticipated and excited. We took air asia. First time at LCCT. Wow...looks like Air asia is making damned good money.
The sky was very clear. And surprisingly we manage to see penang island and penang bridge. The photos showed a small area of Penang Island.
1hr 15min flight and finally we reached Phuket. The beach paradise. After exiting from airport. Managed to find a cheap van transport to hotel. Only cost us BHT150/pax. We were the only 2 asian in the van.
We were the last 2 passengers on the van. The van dropped us at the back of the hotel.Baan Laimai Resort & Spa. We were surprise that our hotel is located at the back lane???

Then when we walk along the swimming pool. It was a very nice resort. Small yet fully equipped.
More surprises awaiting us at our room. The room is very nice also. The bed was decorated with roses awaiting for our arrival.
After settling down, we set out to the famous Patong beach to go looking for island hopping packeges. Our hotel is located on the beach front road. It's the busiest area in Patong Beach with a nice restaurant and live band.
Patong Beach is packed with foreigners tourists sunbathing. Both of us wearing full attire were like aliens there.And there are so many foreigners that we, asian are minority there.
We surveyed few stalls and selected an agent for our island hopping tour next day. The tour costs us BHT 1200/pax for 1 whole day tour. Quite reasonable. Actually we bargained for the price. But i think if we keep on bargaining, we might get better price. Ha!
We had our dinner at a roadside stall behind our hotel. Local food with nice pork chop. yummy......
That's the end of our first day at phuket......
Cant wait to go island hopping to phi phi......
